About this artwork
After working fairly intensely on four 1 x 1 meter paintings, it was time to move onto a larger canvas. Taking cues from Lemuria, No. 8, I wanted to retain much of the energy that was contained in that painting, I felt as though this painting was less controlled as the previous work, but nevertheless utilising the same vertical brush works for the waterfalls and the circular strokes for the trees/people.
