About this artwork
The work has a simple form and expressive language, typical of games, music and the visual trends of social media.
- On the first side, in the center, the livery of a butterfly is represented in abstract form, the typical colors of the peace flag and the rainbow have been used.
- All around, there are the walls of what is a circular container, painted with the same colors, which has always been a symbol of respect for others.
- On the other side… of the sculpture an abstract figure of concentric circles is represented, with a “hypnotic force”, given by the contrasting colors.
Through the physical medium, there is the will to transmit respect (towards nature, others and oneself), within the current society which is increasingly influenced by social media trends. Here, this value has taken the form of a butterfly, a symbol of metamorphosis.
