About this artwork
I recently came across ancient Persian architecture and was fascinated by its intricate and colorful design. I then thought it would be interesting to combine the historical past with the modern and this resulted in the portrait, "Amina". To preserve the light areas from future damage, I have applied 4 coatings of satin varnish. The left, right and upper edges of the wood stretcher is painted cobalt blue.
