About this artwork
My monotypes in the "picked" series were created from cut leaves of my houseplants. All the works are graphic, and the fine lines of the foliage are clearly visible. They were printed in several layers, creating a sense of depth.

Odette Knauft completed her artistic training in fashion design and painting/graphic arts at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, graduating with a diploma in fine arts. After her studies, she focused primarily on fashion design, creating a fusion of fashion and graphic design through the use of screen printing. Over time, her visual art became increasingly important in her work. She produced drawings, mixed-media pieces, and gelatin prints. Her works are mostly monochromatic and reflect a search for harmony and connection with nature, where she finds her inspiration.
