About this artwork
This original granite and andesite sculpture is one of the latest artworks by the contemporary Bulgarian professional sculptor Ognyan Chitakov. He carves this sculpture from stone to capture the raw dialogue between nature and form. « Sculpture is my main way of thinking, my method of communication, my way of living... »
Ognyan Chitakov is an established Bulgarian sculptor whose works have featured in national prizes and exhibitions. He loves sculpture for all the elements it allows him to gather together: form, space, function, architecture, design, engineering, technology and - above all - art. He primarily produces stone works that carry ancient and sacred connections, and whose scale ranges from the modest to the monumental.
