This original melted volcanic rock wall sculpture is one of the latest artworks of the skilful Bulgarian contemporary professional sculptor Ognyan Chitakov, deeply inspired by naturalism, postmodernism and zen art. The artwork represents the artist's idea of beauty and aesthetics in general. The stones are melted at high degree temperatures, reaching the point where they are back to their origin magma… state and then slowly cooled down for days. The artist's concept is to restart the formation of the material and bring it naturally to a new organic shape and unique nautical scene. Ognyan Chitakov is an established Bulgarian sculptor whose works have featured in national prizes and exhibitions. He loves sculpture for all the elements it allows him to gather together: form, space, function, architecture, design, engineering, technology and - above all - art. He primarily produces stone works that carry ancient and sacred connections, and whose scale ranges from the modest to the monumental.
