About this artwork
Inspired by "Ghost", the white Dire Wolf from Game of Thrones at the time of its conception but the wolf as an animal is a life long fascination of mine. They are my favorite animal.
The design begins in the tail with a Maori inspired Koru, and flows out to the animal body shape. Sticking to minimalism as a main theme of the series he has no eyes or other details too fine, and even the limbs were not split to suggest a "ghostly" look.
My favorite… part of this piece was capturing the natural mannerism of the howl.
