The “Svitoslov” series is an original mythological cycle dedicated to Slavic cosmogony, the pantheon of gods, and the deep connection between humans and nature.
Each canvas serves as a portal into the ancient world where the colossal World Tree connects the three realms — Prav, Yav, and Nav — while golden sunlight gradually transitions into lunar night, symbolizing the eternal cycle of life and time.
Here come to life the images of Dazhbog, Perun,… Veles, Lada, Mokosh, Zhiva, and Svarog — not as museum archetypes, but as living, powerful forces of nature that still pulse in the earth, water, and sky.
The paintings combine realistic landscape detail with an almost cosmic scale, creating a sense of sacred presence of the ancestors and harmony between man and the primordial world.
This is not merely an illustration of myths — it is a contemporary rethinking of Slavic spirituality, where every piece invites the viewer to feel part of the great cosmic World Tree.
