About this artwork

🇬🇧 Meet my winter landscape painting. It's a beautiful rainbow painting from my garden. This winter gave me many rainbow painting ideas.

But the inspiration for this rainbow art painting came from freedom. Rainbows had been banned in Russia. Sounds silly. But now the image of rainbows there means LGBT propaganda. There are criminal cases for rainbow-coloured benches in kindergartens, and rainbow ice cream has been banned...

And I am happy that my… daughter can grow up in a free world where she can go to kindergarten named 'rainbow'. Where a rainbow is just a rainbow, beautiful, inspiring, looking at which you can make a wish and it will surely come true.

Crafted using a blend of palette knife and impressionist techniques, this painting exudes a sense of expressive artistry and emotional depth. While I continue to explore the creative possibilities of palette knife painting, the stunning vistas of Sicily inspire me to infuse my artworks with warmth and vitality.

Oksana Evteeva (Oksana Siciliana) lives and works in Sicily. She is the Ambassador of Sicily in Art, a Sicilian artist of Arctic origin whose work blends realism, impressionism, and surrealism, realizing it through her distinctive technique.
She is a Resident Artist of Arseeker Gallery, New York, USA

Evteeva has participated in numerous group exhibitions worldwide, including the Bienal de Arte Barcelona at MEAM – Museu Europeu d'Art Modern, Barcelona, and a group exhibition at the 58th Venice Biennale. She held a solo exhibition at the independent artist space A Cuccagna in Termini Imerese, Italy.

Her artworks are part of private collections across the EU, Brazil, China, and the USA.

She is currently working on Un si ni pò chiù – No More to Give, a surrealist series born from personal crisis and dislocation, while remaining rooted in her Sicilian sensibility. The series blends poetic symbolism with visual tension.
