I drew this street from a place of familiarity. It was not a landmark or a destination — just an ordinary residential corner where plants leaned toward the light and balconies carried traces of everyday life.
In Osaka, I learned to notice small things: how greenery softens concrete, how potted plants gather near doorways, how care reveals itself in quiet gestures. In this drawing, architecture does not dominate. It holds space for leaves, for air,… for the slow rhythm of lived days.
For me, this work is about presence — about being somewhere long enough for the street to become personal. The layered pen strokes mirror that feeling: attentive, patient, almost meditative. What might appear as a simple facade is, in fact, a place filled with memory.
Oksana Trofimova is a painter with an eclectic background, working across oil, pencil, ink, watercolor, and pastel, shaped by both self-directed exploration and private training. Her style elegantly fuses realism with lyrical sensitivity, focusing on thoughtful composition, layered textures, and tactile details to evoke mood and depth. Through quiet moments and balanced structures—urban scenes, nature, portraits, and still lifes—she invites viewers into contemplative spaces, radiating emotional resonance and the subtle poetry of memory and place.
