Philosopher is a meditation on the journey of the Jewish people, embodied in noble wood. Two contrasting textures — the head’s silhouette in Siberian pine and the organic backdrop of glazed oak burl — transform into a silent sage, gazing into infinity with eyes hollowed by unceasing sorrow, carrying the weight of history and the fragile hope for the future.
Unconsciously, the sculpture weaves melancholy into philosophy: destiny, trials, and endless… wanderings — from biblical deserts to modern paths.
