In this work, I merge acrylic paint and collage to explore metaphysical themes of our relationship to ourselves and to 'reality'. Through an expressionist aesthetic, based on subjective figuration, I sought to capture the interaction between the inner 'self' and the perception of the external world, between the contradictory impulses of human nature, affecting our journey and our interaction with others.
Poetic in appearance, depicting an emotional… dance between shapes and colors that transform and intertwine, this work questions without saying anything. Each element is delicately interwoven to reflect the complexities of our own inner narratives. Deep reflection lies behind a vibrant and light beauty that will continually stimulate imagination and contemplation.
Olga Aleksandrova is an artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Monaco and Russia. In addition, her art has been featured in publications such as Ateliers D'Art and C de L'ART. Aleksandrova is particularly fascinated by the expressiveness, plasticity, and rhythms of trees. Through her artistic practice, she continuously seeks to renew herself, leading her towards stylized silhouettes, the superposition of shapes, and color that is often dissociated from the image.
