About this artwork
A romantic evening in Paris near the Picasso Museum, in the old Marais. The whispers of the wind, the furtive reflections of distant lights. The silhouettes of trees are delicately cut out and hide in the shadows, creating a unique rhythm, a nocturnal music. Numerous layers of enamel paints brought to this painting a texture rich in nuances and effects, which can be read as a coded message.
The technique of enamels on copper requires numerous firing… in a special oven at over 800 C °. This process makes it possible to fix the colors durably and preserve their radiance and expressive power forever.
