I like to observe the trees, these inhabitants of our planet, so strange and enigmatic. In winter they show us the designs of their branches, all unique like the lines of our hands. Encrypted messages are hidden there. We would have to decipher them and maybe we could know the biggest secrets of the Universe.
This artwork represents 4 copper plates of 50x50 cm cowered with jewerers' enamels on two sides, baked in a special oven at a temperature… of 850 C°. Its slightly shiny appearance reflects light and creates unexpected effects. The colors will forever remain also vibrant and powerful.
Olga Aleksandrova is an artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Monaco and Russia. In addition, her art has been featured in publications such as Ateliers D'Art and C de L'ART. Aleksandrova is particularly fascinated by the expressiveness, plasticity, and rhythms of trees. Through her artistic practice, she continuously seeks to renew herself, leading her towards stylized silhouettes, the superposition of shapes, and color that is often dissociated from the image.
