About this artwork
In the painting "Hold and Catch," I reflect on the fragility of the world and the human desire to maintain balance in an unstable world. The central image—a woman in motion, riding along the confluence of land and sea—embodies inner strength, determination, and responsibility.
The teardrop-shaped drop of water she holds in her hand symbolizes the Pacific Ocean, representing the world as a single, interconnected system. This fragile sphere becomes… a metaphor for global harmony: powerful yet vulnerable, vast yet easily destroyed.
I depicted the female figure not as a warrior, but as a force for restoration. Through feminine strength—intuitive, resilient, and life-affirming—the painting speaks of the possibility of restoring stability without violence. Movement, wind, and water merge into a dynamic composition where control and freedom coexist.
For this contemporary Israeli artist, art is like entering a portal into the unknown through self-analysis, touching on the artist's personal history. Born in the USSR, she has lived and worked in Israel since 1996. She began studying painting in 2017 with professional artists and received a degree in contemporary art in 2025. Since 2021, she has participated in international competitions, exhibitions, and other projects. She has been a member of the Eurasian Union of Artists since 2021, and the Union of Sculptors and Artists of Israel since 2024. Her works are in private collections in America, England, Israel, and Russia. • The artist works and explores the theme of "The Fragility of Goodness," developing it across several series. She creates paintings on medium-sized canvases, using oil paints, acrylics, and texture paste. She enjoys working not only with brushes but also with a palette knife, creating a variety of textures in her paintings.
