About this artwork
The painting "Fish" constitutes the lower section of the Tree of Life panel. The work is executed in gouache and oil pastel, with integrated elements of gold and copper that lend the surface a unique luster and depth. The abstract visual language, characterized by powerful lines, creates a dynamic composition that supports the entire piece from below.
The intense palette of reds, oranges, and yellows is contrasted by cool blue tones, imbuing the… image with a vibrant energy. The choice of oil pastel allows for a rich texture, where the metallic pigments catch the light to striking effect.
The framing plays a crucial role in the presentation of the work. A black mount (passepartout) with a white core creates a distinct contrast that makes the saturated colors stand out even more vividly. The piece is completed by a black wooden frame with acrylic glass, giving the painting a modern and exclusive feel where every detail of the color scale is showcased to its full potential.
