About this artwork
"Boundless Seas" is a playful take on one of my favorite sayings. I've always been fascinated by the meaning behind certain phrases, and this one really hits home for me. It’s a fun reminder not to sweat the small stuff and to keep things in perspective. By putting the vast ocean inside a tiny teacup, I wanted to show how our worries, no matter how big they seem, are often just little ripples in the grand scheme of things.
This piece is about appreciating… the present moment, focusing on what truly matters, and letting go of the things that can so easily weigh us down. Through this painting, I hope to inspire the viewer to find calm in the chaos and remember that sometimes, our biggest storms are just in a teacup.

« My art is about capturing a place. When I paint, I feel like I am there, and that is what I want to translate to the viewer. »
Growing up in the Ukraine, Olga Rybalko was fascinated by a promenade where artists would showcase their work, and was particularly drawn to the marine landscapes. Immigrating to Canada at 13 presented new opportunities for travel and inspiration. Rybalko presents her landscapes in an impressionistic, abstract style, layering oils over acrylic. The results are sublime landscapes, clearly inspired by her love of the outdoors.
