Coral Reef is a captivating 28x28 inch paper sculpture inspired by the depths of the ocean, natural formations, and underwater life. The layered composition is brought to life through the use of double-sided sticky foam between the paper layers, creating a striking 3D effect. Each piece of the sculpture is meticulously hand-cut, requiring significant time and precision to assemble.
To enhance the sense of depth, Olga incorporates blue acetate film… between the layers, mimicking the appearance of water. Depending on the angle, the acetate reflects light, creating subtle, wavy ripples that evoke the shimmer of ocean waves catching sunlight.
