About this artwork
Lying, quickly discarded bicycles. There are several levels in the pictures, from wall paint to fabric to oil paints and boat clear varnish. The painting surface is made of wood, which is necessary to withstand this complex work. A multitude of techniques are created, from transparency to craquelure ceramic-like relief structure. effect. Haptic impressions created by the particularly smooth surface are possible. The motif, a silhouette of a Dutch bike (gazelle), is represented by graphite lines that stand out from the purely abstract, painterly background.
