About this artwork
Do you ever feel like you're stuck, like you’re praying for something that doesn’t change? It’s easy to feel like your own effort just doesn’t do enough to move your life forward, in whatever way that might be. I made this drawing to visualize Jesus turning darkness into light. We don’t know how it will turn out, but we do know that He is constantly working for the good of those who love Him. The strands symbolize our situations, thoughts, emotions…
and any other thread of our individual life. In Jesus’ hands, the thorns are removed and the darkness gone, leaving a lightness and airy essence. I hope that whoever owns this piece will be a reminder of God’s intervention in every area of our lives, and His care to make every part of us good, even if we don’t see it.
