About this artwork
Abstraction, freedom of expression and open-mindedness. In each canvas, energy and movement are magnified. Spontaneous and freely expressed energies and movements. Because Freedom is the heart of this series where Olivier supports and celebrates human rights: he claims the idea of the need for each individual to be free to express themselves, and this, in all possible artistic forms and whatever their differences.
This series started in 2012 and… the artist Olivier Messas will continue to paint it this year...
This work is a composition of recycled plastic flowers.
The recycled plastic comes from everyday product packaging (water bottles, soft drinks…) and each flower was created by the artist's mother during this long period of COVID.
The flowers were glued next to each other to create an abstract landscape.
This work is made up of more than 1000 recycled plastic flowers.
