"Ces derniers temps" captures the very essence of the street, its movements, its incessant changes. The background of a dilapidated subway poster evokes an accumulation of stories and crossed lives, witnesses of an era that is disintegrating before our eyes. Through this canvas, the artist explores the passage of time and the wear and tear of things, like so many memories that overlap, mask each other, but never really disappear.
The black lines… and drips evoke a brute force, an expression of anger or melancholy in the face of the erosion of everyday life. By fixing these urban fragments on the canvas, the artist breathes new life into what seemed lost, transforming the apparent chaos into a work that carries meaning. "These recent times" invites us to observe the beauty hidden in imperfection and to reflect on how our environment, even dilapidated, conceals a memory and a story that deserves to be told.
