"Le temps presse" reflects the frenzy of our times, where fashions and desires follow one another at a frenetic pace. The canvas, composed of a multitude of collages, displays fragments of magazine images, advertisements and patterns that intertwine in an explosion of colors and textures. Faces, slogans and silhouettes seem to spring from the work, recalling the attraction of novelty and the constant pressure to consume, to always want more.
The… artist depicts here the culture of "everything, right away" and its consequence: the rapid obsolescence of trends. The mixture of patterns and figures in an organized chaos underlines the duality of this search for instantaneity: the desire to possess and the flight towards oblivion. The canvas invites us to question ourselves on this race against time and the waste that it entails.
