“I Walked Here Before You”, work #25 by Freeon / OA, represents the fusion between my two creative identities: Onofre Alarcón and Freeon. They are not opposites, but states of the same energy. Freeon appears when the painting ceases to explain itself and imposes itself, without filters or concessions.
In this 110 x 110 cm canvas, the bison is not just a figure, but an ancestral presence. It walks across symbolic territory where the painterly gesture… becomes a trace, a memory, and an affirmation. There is something primitive and contemporary at the same time: a tension between what was and what continues to be.
The work speaks of precedence, of having been there before, of leaving an invisible yet persistent trace. It is not a scene, it is a declaration: art as an act of permanence, as an echo that transcends time.
