About this artwork
In this work, I sought to capture the intersection between the ephemeral and the eternal. I used acrylics to create an abstract landscape where soft tones of gray and white dialogue with fragments of darkness, symbolizing moments of clarity in the midst of chaos. Each brushstroke reflects an emotion, a memory, inviting the viewer to explore their own emotional depths in the breadth of its textures.

Oscar Alvarez Pardo is an experienced Spanish painter with international exposure. Composing acrylic and watercolor works on paper, he stylistically switches between the realistic and fantastical whilst maintaining an emotional narrative line in each piece. Inspired by Edward Hopper and Steve Hanks, he represents themes such as tenderness, romance and loneliness with equal parts observational sensitivity and nostalgic cheekiness.
