About this artwork
Figurative-abstract scene of a woman painted in acrylic and gesso on paper. In all my paintings, I use the highest quality materials and media, resistant to light and time.
In this work, I wanted to capture the intensity and mystery of the human figure through vibrant red and abstract shapes. The female silhouette emerges from the warm background, evoking passion and strength. Painting with acrylic allowed me to play with dynamic textures that fill… the space with energy and emotion, making this piece radiate power and elegance in your home.

Oscar Alvarez Pardo is an experienced Spanish painter with international exposure. Composing acrylic and watercolor works on paper, he stylistically switches between the realistic and fantastical whilst maintaining an emotional narrative line in each piece. Inspired by Edward Hopper and Steve Hanks, he represents themes such as tenderness, romance and loneliness with equal parts observational sensitivity and nostalgic cheekiness.
