About this artwork
This work, titled "ARTIFACT," belongs to the "THE FOREIGN BODY" collection. It aligns with my style in terms of color, composition, and oil painting technique, although it lies somewhere between painting and sculpture. The generating element of the entire collection always includes the "foreign body" of a coffee pot, but in this case, its location is less obvious, although it undoubtedly constitutes the core of the work, both in terms of placement…
and focus. I believe it is the freest and most spontaneous work in the entire collection; its source of inspiration is more devoid of rationality than the rest of the pieces because it connects with the impulse that, as an artist, you experience when you need to "get rid" of that persistent idea that keeps going around in your head and that you need to get rid of in order to start another work. It is also, without a doubt, the most "demanding" work for the collector because it pays no heed to any aesthetic conventions and because of its undeniable erotic "tone."
