“Stratum III” is part of my ongoing series exploring layering, depth, and inner presence. While earlier works are more strongly characterized by movement and contrast, this image marks a moment of condensation and stillness.
Organic forms appear to gather in an enclosed space, while soft transitions and delicate textures create a calm, almost meditative atmosphere. Cool blues and grays meet warm gold hues, which are used deliberately to lend the… work a subtle, sophisticated tension.
The round shape reinforces this impression: it appears as a self-contained space where energy is concentrated rather than spread out. The eye is not guided, but rather invited to linger and discover layer by layer.
“Stratum III” is not a loud work – its effect unfolds over time. It is precisely this reduced, clear presence that makes it an image that does not dominate spaces, but rather enhances them.
