About this artwork
Using a personal mixed technique on the canvas I try to recreate the texture of the lime walls outside the houses of my grandparents' village. In this work I use light gray tones in the background and areas of a subtle bluish on which appears and disappear figures of my own graphic universe in darker gray tone.

Paco Vila-Guillén is a prizewinning artist from Spain whose paintings have been featured in solo and group shows nationally. His first experience with art was drawing with his mother's dressmaker's chalk, and he grew up developing his own unique abstract style. Using markers, inks, or acrylic paints, he explores themes of nature and the details of plants, algae, and fungi, resulting in stunning microcosms on canvas.
