About this artwork
"Chuleta Troncuela" is a study of essential identity within the Immersive Chuletas subseries. This piece of Expanded Painting reduces the urban intervention to its raw material and most elemental form.
The work is distinguished by its earthy, organic palette, with ochre and brown tones that directly connect the canvas to the ground or wood. The chuleta-trunk is depicted with an almost sculptural solidity, focusing on the texture and weight of its… identity. It functions as a visual anchor, a return to the basis of the ephemeral intervention.
Technical innovation is the conceptual bridge: the central elements are 3D-printed objects directly adhered, material traces of virtual models created in Mixed Reality (OpenBrush VR). The result is an art-object that merges formal rigour with technology, celebrating the authenticity and raw materiality of the trunk in the digital age.
Pacorrosa Cuevas is a Spanish artist who fuses painting with technology, land art, 3D printing, and digital processes, backed by a solid training and over twenty-five years of international experience. His work navigates between the macrocosmic and microcosmic, employing techniques that reinterpret painting through virtual reality and sculpture, where color and composition interact with science and nature. His works convey a creative energy that invites us to decipher the profound connections between humanity, nature, and the universe.
