About this artwork
"Lazos" is an exploration of the concept of primordial interconnection. Unlike anatomical representations, this work focuses on the abstract relationship between forms. The background is a gestural, organic base that evokes primary matter, the complexity of biological tissue, or the substrate of the universe.Overlaying this base are the central elements: the "Lazos".
These are complex virtual structures drawn in 3D in OpenBrush and then printed onto… the 24X30cm canvas.
These bonds are non-figurative but symbolise the connections—whether digital, neural, or emotional—that weave reality together. The technical process is key: the virtual structure of the bond is then intervened with manual gesture (acrylics, markers) to infuse it with warmth and the ambiguity of the handcrafted.
The result is a dynamic dialogue between the algorithmic structure of the form and the organic expressiveness of the background, inviting reflection on how essential connections are built and maintained.
Pacorrosa Cuevas is a Spanish artist who fuses painting with technology, land art, 3D printing, and digital processes, backed by a solid training and over twenty-five years of international experience. His work navigates between the macrocosmic and microcosmic, employing techniques that reinterpret painting through virtual reality and sculpture, where color and composition interact with science and nature. His works convey a creative energy that invites us to decipher the profound connections between humanity, nature, and the universe.
