About this artwork
A work in which the paradoxical support exercised by an ephemeral balance dominates: the imposing structure of the Florence Cathedral loses much of its well-known architectural structure, replaced by a precarious scaffolding of a mysterious house of cards. The enigmatic face/mask emerging at the top left establishes, with a single visible eye, a silent dialogue with the viewer. In the creation of this painting I immersed myself in a journey between… dream and reality. Using oil I gave life to expressionist and surreal forms, intertwining the abstract with the figurative, the metaphysical merges with the tangible. The penetrating geometries and vibrant colors evoke deep emotions, taking the viewer into a suspended dimension, beyond the visible. This art will transform the space, inviting reflection and introspection.
« 'Beauty will save the world' by Dostoevsky is a symbolic phrase for me because of the therapeutic, magical, and mysterious content inherent in the logic of art. »
