This work is a combination of realism and expressionism, where oil becomes a tool for exploring profound emotional intimacy, through thin but dense and full-bodied brushstrokes, to express a single common denominator of the painting: roses. In fact, the inspiration came from the Waltz of the Roses by Johann Strauss, son of the Austrian composer of the same name, after a strong involvement with the orange color of a variety of rose, called "Lady of… Shalott", whose reverberation stands out towards the center of the painting . The shapes merge in an ethereal embrace, and the vibrant colors dance on the wooden table like vivid feelings, weaving a silent but powerful dialogue between the figures. This art has the ardor to evoke passions and reflections, an energy that enriches and animates the space of those who welcome it.
The work, including frame, measures 67.5 x 54 x 1.5 cm.
« 'Beauty will save the world' by Dostoevsky is a symbolic phrase for me because of the therapeutic, magical, and mysterious content inherent in the logic of art. »
