About this artwork
In this piece, I wanted to tell a dream: the dream of the lotus—a flower that rises from the mud yet blossoms in the light. The female face emerging from the composition carries the silent strength of someone who has walked through darkness and now looks ahead with awareness and grace.
The strokes of color, almost like luminous scars, are emotions surfacing—traces of a life fully lived. The golden background symbolizes the sacredness of our inner… world, a light that doesn’t come from outside, but from within. It is an invitation to reconnect with our truest selves, where beauty and pain coexist—just like in the lotus.
"The Dream of the Lotus" is a tribute to rebirth, to resilience, and to the spiritual transformation that every woman—and every human being—can experience
Born in Salerno, a city kissed by the sun and the sea, I undertook artistic studies with a particular focus on archaeological restoration. Growing up in a family of artists, I had the privilege of being immersed in the artistic environment from a very young age. In 2005, I moved to Assisi, where I had the opportunity to meet the maestro Elvio Marchionni, expert in the art of materials and in the use of ancient plaster techniques. Through the representation of female faces, I try to capture the intensity and complexity of human emotions, transforming internal experiences into vibrant shapes and colors. The color palette I use is imbued with vitality and energy, with a range of colors that evoke intense and vivid emotions. Colors become the language with which to express the nuances of the soul, transforming the canvas into an emotional landscape in constant evolution.
