About this artwork
Steli is a series of three sculptures in oxidized iron conceived by Paolo Grassi within the conceptual project From "0" to Infinity. Each work presents an essential vertical structure, like a rising line, a precise gesture that challenges gravity, transforming into thought.
On the surfaces you can read engraved numerical sequences, different for each specimen and unrepeatable: each digit is an autonomous identity, but also part of an infinite narration.… The bronze, with its warm and vibrant patina, amplifies the sensation of solidity and continuity.
The three sculptures share the same formal and conceptual language: minimalism, rhythm and ascending tension. Together or separately, they communicate a sense of active silence, of balance between matter and meaning. They are works to be contemplated, capable of making the invisible visible.

Paolo Grassi is a Swiss conceptual artist, author of the project “From '0' to Infinity”, which since 2007 has explored the language of numbers as an art form.
Each work is a unique and unrepeatable “Element”, part of an infinite narrative made of different materials, techniques and meanings.
The artist considers his research as a “hymn to the energy of numbers and their ability to generate invisible connections between people”.
His works range from sculpture to painting, from performance to installation.
“I seek the balance between order and chaos, between mathematical rationality and creative impulse,” says Grassi, for whom “even a single fragment can contain the entire universe.” Over 285 works already created are now distributed in public and private collections.
Each new creation is an invitation to reflect on time, identity and infinity.
