About this artwork
This sculpture is in wrought iron.
He won the first prize in Avezzano, immediately after 3 iconographic priests took the prize from the artist because in Christian iconography Christ must always be represented with the most open arms because with this gesture he expresses mercy.
The Artist explained that what he had carved was meant to represent a prayer of his that recalled a leader; a man who would return at this moment to reawaken forgotten… values, such as respect and love.
Furthermore, behind the slit, the Artist places a LED that illuminates the past but at the same time also the present we represent.
