About this artwork
In the heart of Agadir, in neighborhoods teeming with life, the souk is a must. The typical shops are adorned with the most beautiful carpets, lamps and traditional hangings in a thousand colors.
The work painted on wood measures 35x35cm (3mm thick). This is mounted on a wooden support with a black frame (40x40cm) ready to hang.
The mixed techniques of collage and graffiti infuse a raw energy and texture that tells the story of a place that is… both timeless and ephemeral. Each line reveals emotions, inviting you on a visual journey through Maghreb culture.

« Colors and emotions are the essences of our lives. »
Pappay is a French painter and sculptor whose works are exhibited internationally, in Europe and the United States. He draws his inspiration from the chaos of cities and their architecture, as well as from graphic design and street art. In addition, Pappay has always been fascinated by the relationship between humanity and its environment. The scenes depicted in his compositions are devoid of any human presence, where time is suspended, objects and buildings are witnesses of life and history "ready to come to life".
