About this artwork
Amboise, a legendary city where many kings of France have lived, spreads out in all its splendor, inviting you to admire it; you are captivated by the weight of history and the beauty of its white stone.
Under large skies, the Loire seems to irrigate the entire city and its small strips of sand. An almost Italian light emerges from it: a little nod to Leonardo da Vinci.
After the excitement of the summer season I like to set up my easel in front… of this magnificent city. Here we admire from left to right the castle, the Saint Hubert chapel and the bell tower of the Saint Florentin church. Autumn has adorned the trees with its golden colors. I love these shimmering colors of yellow, orange, and bistre.
The landscapes of the Loire are all about gentleness and harmony. Nothing shocks the eye.
The opportunity for a nice walk to admire nature before it goes to sleep for the winter...
