About this artwork
Reminiscent of my work as a comic book artist, I love to sketch the chickens in my neighbors' chicken coops from life. In this work, I tried to capture the raw energy and intensity of a rooster in motion, surrounded by his fellow birds. This painting is not only a celebration of nature, but also a reflection on struggle and survival.
With this work I received the Honorary Prize for Painting at the Rambouillet Animal Biennale in October 2024.
