About this artwork

The Stilt Walker and his long levers cross the boundary between the visible and invisible worlds, like an initiate who does not reject the darkness: he passes through it. Pasquale Scognamiglio is a Neapolitan artist whose work spans painting, printmaking, and visual experimentation. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, he develops a poetic and symbolic language through mixed media, watercolor, glazes, and layering on paper and antique materials. His works intertwine myth, spirituality, memory, and Neapolitan identity in compositions suspended between the sacred and the profane.
