About this artwork
In creating this bronze sculpture, I tapped into the majesty and grace of nature. With each curve and feather, I aimed to capture the regal essence of a peacock, ensuring it stands as an emblem of beauty and pride. This piece radiates a timeless elegance and a sense of serenity, making it a captivating presence in any space, infusing it with a sublime natural energy that enhances and enlivens the surrounding environment.

Pathmal Yahampath is a young Sri Lankan sculptor who has exhibited his work in Colombo. He seeks for his sculptures to express a certain dignity and majesty, balancing this with explorations of light-hearted postures and the observations of cultural norms. The heavy metal rods welded together resemble the human muscular system, and Yahampath's main materials are iron and copper.
