About this artwork
By revisiting Picasso's famous work "Guernica", PatMoli is not talking about the same war as the great artist but about that of water! She keeps the screaming animals and characters, an energetic, stylized, spontaneous and colorful line in the middle of the gushing drops of water. Thus, the artist slipped several clues reflecting the state of mind of his worries and concerns on a very current subject: the lack of water. The war echoes this nagging…
drought because how can we do without this necessary resource?

« Create with humor! Color is life, we must not lose sight of the fact that we are alive and that we share our feelings. »
PatMoli, a colorist and alumna of the Boulle School in Paris, is distinguished by the richness and diversity of her themes, exploring with a unique sensitivity topics as varied as women's freedom, environmental preservation, ecosystems, and animals. Her art has been featured in the Gazette des Arts and internationally and demonstrates a great poetic sensibility. Her imaginary landscapes and coral reefs demonstrate a deep commitment to environmental causes. She successfully captures the beauty and fragility of our planet, creating works that inspire both wonder and awareness. Her use of animals as totems is particularly powerful, symbolizing both our transformations and our vulnerabilities. These monumental representations challenge and invite the viewer to reflect on our place in the natural world and our responsibility towards other species.
