About this artwork
In this work I sought to capture the ephemeral essence of transformation and change. Bright colors burst with intensity, symbolizing new beginnings, while darker shades reflect the often unsuspected depths of our inner experience. Each pour of paint and each splash of acrylic is designed to evoke a raw emotion, an intimate moment of sublimation where the imperceptible becomes palpable, giving life and energy to any living space.

Patrice Bru is a self-taught artist who trained in figurative oil painting at a very early age.
For many years he produced paintings of landscapes, still lifes, flowers, etc. Until 2019, a period coinciding with his retirement from active life and his irrepressible desire to embark on abstract painting.
This abstract style, which he considers a revelation, now occupies most of his time, with occasional breaks into portraits on request or figurative paintings.
This attraction to abstraction leads him to use techniques that aim to take the viewer on a personal journey.
His work is an ode to freedom, releasing unpredictable and passionate energies with every stroke of his brush, knife, or other technique. It allows him to give true meaning to the word creation.
