About this artwork
Serenity in Motion is a minimalist work that captures the harmonious balance of movement and stillness. With a reduced color palette of purple, pink, and white, the painting creates a gentle, almost meditative atmosphere. The flowing lines and color transitions generate dynamism without disrupting the clarity and simplicity of the composition. While the forms appear tranquil at first glance, a subtle vibrancy is palpable, inviting the viewer to engage… with their own inner movement. The work invites contemplation, pausing to observe the delicate interactions of color, space, and light. Serenity in Motion creates a moment of relaxation and reflection, a visual oasis where minimalism, color, and emotion merge into a harmonious whole.
Patricia von Andersen-Hausen is a contemporary abstract artist from Düsseldorf, Germany, whose work captures the essence of minimalism. Her art is deeply connected to nature, particularly water and the sea, as well as the harmonic structures of classical music. She studied fine arts at Poznan University of the Arts, KLC School of Design, West Dean College, Yale University, Bradford University, Mozarteum Salzburg, Leeds Conservatoire, and the Free University of Berlin. In her art, she explores the interplay of simplicity and complexity, using a reduced palette to investigate form, color, and material. She currently works with liquid media such as ink, watercolor, and diluted acrylic paint on paper or natural materials, with serendipity being an integral part of her creative process. Her works create tranquil, meditative spaces that offer viewers moments of contemplation and inner peace.
