prayer
to have a beautiful life
and a beautiful death
with nothing in between to halt the ecstasy
of being holy
wholly untrue and honest as a drop of dew
forgive me for my beingness
forgive me for my cunt
forgive me for the blessings given
that now are all undone
i’m a failure as a martyr
i’m a failure as a saint
i’m a failure as an angel
broken airbourne bones all twisted
by the taint of love
and lust…
and honesty
and fate
i do not intend to dissipate
blessings come as surrogates
bring me to wolf strength
bring me to hate
but only through goodness
i wait at your gate
