From 'Aphrodite crouching, called Venus of Vienna', a marble from the 2nd century AD, this marble from a Greek original from the 3rd or 2nd century BC.
The statues look like us. They live, they deteriorate, they suffer accidents. Sometimes they are demolished, amputated, riddled with bullets, destroyed.
The sculptures are in our image, and vice versa.
