About this artwork
Color portrait of Blues musician Lucky Peterson in acrylic on canvas. Without frame, painted edges, satin finish, ready to hang. Lucky Peterson inspired me a lot, he died on May 17. A gifted musician, he started on the organ then on the piano before going on to the guitar. I also liked his bluesman look with his hat and his broad smile. I painted his sympathetic face several times. One of his friends had seen one of my paintings on Instagram and…
told him about it. He had sent me a nice thank you message. A great musician and an adorable guy is gone ... His music remains eternal.

« I think we can also invent in art. »
Patrick Feillens wants to capture diversity, simple human beauty, as well as serenity and calmness in his portraits. His works are greatly influenced by the cinema, soul music, and its respective icons. The French artist tries to be as intuitive and sincere as possible without directly copying reality. He often begins a canvas without knowing exactly what he wants to do and creates using acrylics.
