About this artwork
Representation of a demonic and sensual red queen with disproportionate shapes. It is inspired by Byzantine art. It is both sacred and pagan. Sensual and grotesque, charming and dangerous. His carmine red tunic gives him this baroque and infernal aspect but it is also a playful picture.

« Don't take yourself too seriously. On the other hand, I think I have created a particular and atypical universe where I recognize myself. »
Patrick Guicheteau is an experienced painter and sculptor based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States and Japan. In his diverse compositions, women are allegories of life in the universe. Guicheteau describes his artistic process as being marked by the interaction and the articulation of various elements, which aim to provoke, in the contraction of a single image, "the poetic effect and the definitive impact" of the piece.
