About this artwork
In winter, the Norman apple trees are bare and the branches are revealed in multiple geometric curves which force the gaze into an abstract composition that I tried to transcribe on the canvas.

Patrick Marie is an experienced artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Having painted with oils for over fifty years, he was originally inspired by the impressionists. However, Marie's approach is abstract in nature and always starts from a concrete motif. For him, "art is felt" and it is a question of emotion, harmony, elegance, and the heart.
