About this artwork
Crafted in the Essentialist style, White Rose's is a watercolor painting derived from a unique definition of the two-dimesnional surface of the watercolor paper itself. Essentialism is a two-dimensional rule atha allows for the placement of creative elements in a new and exciting way. Compositionally White Roses are the quintessential form of peace and tranquility.

McClintock, an auto-didactic oil painter and printmaker, was taught by Ethel Todd and rose to excellence at Platt College of Design. His work exhibits curvilinear definition with abstraction of the canvas, redefining 2D space through transformative methods. Through dynamic landscapes, figurative pieces, and floral compositions inspired by the Dutch masters, his art interrogates the essential nature of two-dimensional mediums.
